Session options
Your space. Your time. Your own path.
We do not all have the same needs, and we are not all at the same point in life. Sometimes we only need a first conversation. Sometimes we look for a steady therapeutic relationship, and sometimes we want to give more time to one particular issue.
That is why there are different ways to meet, so you can choose the one that suits you best.
A gift from me, to you
Free introductory meeting · 30 minutes
Let’s get to know each other.
The first step does not have to be hard, and you do not need to have all the answers before you take it.
You may have been thinking about starting therapy for a while without knowing where to begin. You may have questions about the process, wonder whether now is the right time, or simply want to meet the person you will trust with your thoughts and feelings.
That is why I offer a free 30-minute online meeting.
In this meeting we can get to know each other. You can tell me what is on your mind, as much as you feel comfortable sharing, and we can talk about what you are looking for from therapy.
You can also ask your own questions, find out how we would work together and see whether this approach feels right for you.
There is nothing to prepare, and you only share what you want to.
The introductory meeting does not replace a full therapy session, and it does not commit you to continuing.
It is simply a chance to meet.
First session
Every journey starts with a first step.
The first session is the start of a personal process, and you are at its centre.
It is the time and space we set aside to understand your story, your experiences, the difficulties you may be facing and everything you would like to change in your life.
There is no right or wrong way to begin.
You may know exactly what is troubling you. Or you may feel a general pressure, emotional tiredness or a need for change that you cannot yet put into words.
In our first meeting we will try to understand together what has brought you here and what you hope to gain from psychotherapy.
We will talk about your needs, explore your goals and discuss how our work together could take shape.
You do not have to tell your whole life story in one meeting. Trust builds gradually, and everyone needs their own time.
What can you expect from the first session?
- A real first conversation about what is on your mind.
- An exploration of your personal needs and goals.
- An explanation of how therapy works.
- Space for questions, thoughts and concerns.
- A conversation about next steps, if you want to continue.
Nobody grades the first session. It is the start of getting to know yourself.
Weekly session
Change takes time, consistency and care.
Psychotherapy is a personal journey that unfolds gradually, through understanding, recognising your feelings and a deeper connection with yourself. There is no need to rush it.
Weekly sessions create a steady space in your everyday life. It is a place where you can put aside, for a while, your duties, your roles and other people’s expectations, and focus on yourself.
Through regular work together we can explore thoughts, feelings, behaviours and repeating patterns that may be affecting your life and relationships.
We can work on issues such as anxiety, self-esteem, personal relationships, communication difficulties, life changes, personal boundaries and managing emotions.
Meeting regularly lets us return to topics that need more time, notice how you are progressing and recognise what is changing in your daily life.
Some sessions may be full of thoughts and feelings. Others may be calmer, or help you work through something that first seemed unimportant.
All of it has its place in therapy.
Who are weekly sessions for?
They are for people who want steady psychotherapeutic support, who want to know themselves more deeply, work through difficulties or develop new ways of facing life’s challenges.
There is no set pace of change, and no number of sessions that suits everyone. The path is shaped around each person’s needs and therapeutic goals.
One meeting a week. A regular time set aside for you.
One-off session · 2 hours
Sometimes you need more time for one particular issue.
There are times when one issue takes up a large part of our thinking.
An important decision, a change, a personal dilemma, a difficulty in a relationship or a situation that leaves us confused can create the need for a longer conversation.
The two-hour one-off session is a self-contained meeting with more time to focus on one specific issue that is on your mind.
During it we can look at different sides of the situation, notice the thoughts and feelings that come with it, and explore possible options and next steps.
The longer time lets us spend more of it talking, and we do not have to reach a final answer or solution.
When might it suit you?
- When one specific personal issue is on your mind.
- When you face an important decision.
- When you are going through a period of change or uncertainty.
- When you want to explore a topic in a longer meeting.
- When you are not looking for steady weekly support right now.
A one-off session does not replace ongoing therapy when ongoing therapy is needed. It can still give you real space to explore and reflect on your own.
Before we book it, we can talk about whether this format fits what you are asking for.
Two hours. One issue. Space for your own thoughts and needs.
Which option is right for you?
You do not need to know from the start which kind of session suits you best.
If you would like to meet first, you can choose the free 30-minute meeting.
If you are ready to begin therapy, the first session is your starting point.
If you want steady support and a more regular path of self-exploration, weekly sessions may be the right choice.
If you want to focus on one specific issue in a longer meeting, we can look at a two-hour one-off session.
You do not need to have decided everything. Start from where you are today.
